sleepymilk Fermented Frass Extract is a liquid fertilizer thoughtfully created to breathe new life into your soil, enhance the terpene quality of your blooms, and foster environmentally friendly crop growth & sustainability. Crafted through natural fermentation with lactic acid bacteria (LAB), effective microorganisms (EM1) and molasses, this process effectively breaks down insect frass fibres, making the nutrients and beneficial properties readily available for your chosen crop/garden. When applied through foliar spraying or soil drenching, your plants can quickly absorb these enriching elements.  

We have all experienced the benefits of top dressing with frass - however, fermenting this by product of the black soldier fly larvae with LAB, EM1 and molasses unlocks a new level of bio-availability. This process now enables us to apply fermented frass as a foliar feed! this takes the macronutrients and trace minerals directly from the foliage, down the Phloem layer and into the soil to feed the microbes and exudates via the roots often within minutes, resulting in even more readily available nutrition for plant uptake when required.

Application Rate:

This product can be applied to soil at any stage of growth, including during the offseason. Its versatile usage extends to a wide range of plants, such as flowers, herbs, fruits, vegetables, lawns/turf, houseplants, and field crops.

Soil Drench: Dilute 50-100ml of this ferment into 5L of water applied weekly.

Foliar Spray: Dilute 30ml into 5L water and spray foliage in the early morning or evening (avoid spraying in full sunlight).

Broadacre: Use ferments at 50-120L per acre weekly.
